Oakfield's new construction partner

In early 2022, we shared the news that activity on site would be temporarily paused after the demise of Mi-Space (part of the Midas group) who were responsible for the construction at Oakfield. We’re very happy to announce that our new construction partner, Lovell, will begin work on site again over the next few weeks, with sub-contractors returning throughout August.

“We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Lovell as our construction partner and we cannot wait for work to resume on Oakfield next month. Lovell share our commitment to building community-focused, energy-efficient developments and we hope Oakfield will provide the inspiration for housebuilders across the UK to improve the environmental standards of new homes. With the show home opening later this year, I’m excited for prospective buyers to see how the development has been shaped in collaboration with the local community and to demonstrate how an Oakfield home is fit for the future.” - Rachel Sinclair, Director of Home at Nationwide Building Society

The support provided by Lovell over the last few months has been crucial to getting Oakfield back on track. They’ve been building high-quality homes for more than 50 years, using a considered approach to create welcoming neighbourhoods where people want to live.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Nationwide Building Society for the first time to deliver this exciting development in Swindon. Oakfield forms an integral part of our ambitious growth plans at Lovell, as we continue our investment in the South West region, and we are thrilled to have been awarded this project to breathe new life into the brownfield site. The eco-friendly scheme will provide high-quality, much-needed new homes for local people, and create a sustainable community for them to live and work in. We are very much looking forward to working with Nationwide Building Society, and to strengthening our partnership as this development progresses.” - James Duffett, Regional Managing Director at Lovell

Lovell will share further information about working hours and site safety with the local community in the weeks to come. In September, they’ll be hosting an event to get to know people in the local area and answer any questions you might have.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our show home in the Autumn when our first homes go on sale. The local community will be amongst the first to be invited to view the show home. Local estate agents Atwell Martin will be selling the homes – if you’re interested in living at Oakfield, you can speak to them directly on 01793 643 643 or email oakfield@atwellmartin.co.uk to register your interest and find out more.
